Caroline Sasser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who treats adolescents, college students, and adults in individual, family, and relationship counseling. Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, self-esteem/body image challenges, broken or strained relationships, anxiety, and depression. As an Eating Disorder Specialist, she gained hands-on experience as a primary therapist and body image specialist at a treatment center for eating disorders. Caroline's goal in counseling is to provide a safe and caring atmosphere that enables her to meet others where they are and join them on the road to a more fulfilled life. Caroline uses a person-centered approach in counseling and incorporates cognitive behavioral, experiential, and psychodynamic techniques to empower clients in their everyday lives. She also utilizes a personalized collaborative treatment model which includes incorporating loved ones when appropriate and consults regularly with medical providers, dieticians, schools and coaches. She is a member of IADEP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals), NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association), NASW (National Association of Social Workers), and ASCSW (Alabama Society for Clinical Social Work).
